Piano Lessons

For Kids!

Through music, we teach students to have perseverence, practice creativity, foster friendships, and enjoy growth.

How It Works:

Fun, Live Weekly Class

We meet once a week for an individual 30 minute class.

Online or In-person lessons are available depending on your location.

Optional: monthly online practice recital to share your amazing skills with other students!

Equipment

Any piano will work, but an electric piano is preferred since young students are more likely to learn perfect pitch and they don't require regular maintenance.

(Electric pianos can be purchased for as little as $50 on Facebook Marketplace or I have Amazon links available)

Phone, tablet, or computer for the zoom class

Office Hours

If you ever miss a class, it's no problem. Everything we work on in class is saved in your "Google Classroom," and you can also book a time to catch up during Mrs. Slaughter's Office Hours.

Aleythia Slaughter has a K-12 Teaching License, has been playing piano and violin for almost 20 years and has taught for almost 10 years in classical education which has included Spanish, Latin, Piano, Violin, Viola, and Cello!

Her favorite thing about teaching is seeing students grow and getting to be a positive influence in their life.

What If We Miss A Class?

No problem!

Your music will be saved in your Google Classroom, and Mrs. Slaughter holds Office Hours (extra open practice time) each week, so you can book that to catch up, if you need extra help, or in preparation for a special event

Most students who join our program are. They are in great hands: Mrs. Slaughter is an excellent teacher and has taught students of all ages in MANY different settings. She's patient, supportive, encouraging, and our students and parents love her!

Just come to the free intro/trial session and you'll get a really good feel for the supportive, encouraging environment Mrs Slaughter sets for the kids 🙂

My Child Isn't A Beginner...

A lot of students come in already having some music experience; some from piano and others from an instrument they've been learning at school

During the intro/trial session, Mrs. Slaughter will get a sense of how far along your child is and tailor the lessons specifically to their needs 🙂👍
